      About Us

      Sri Lanka School of Radiography is the one and only Government institution in Sri Lanka that produce qualified professional Radiographers / Radiological Technologists (Radiography Diploma holders) both in Diagnostic and Therapeutic streams, who are eligible to registration in Sri Lanka Medical Council & to practice.It is one of the training schools under the Ministry of Health that produce Health Professions Supplementary to Medicine.
      The trainees are recruited annually calling for applications by the Ministry of Health. The school caters for the trainees from the three armed forces, the Sri Lanka Police and Sri lanka transport board and other private institutions (on the approval of Ministry of Health). 
       
      Vision
      To produce highly motivated qualified professional Radiographers / Radiological Technologists who are skilled and knowledgable to serve the sick and needy in any part of the world. 
      Mission
      To use innovative teaching methodology by using available limited resources economically and eficiently to upgrade the knowlege, skills and to develop positive attitudes of the students there by improve the health professional manpower of the country.

      MRI lesson no 8 uploaded on 4.3.2011
      A work shop on MRI was held on 18th & 19th December 2010 at the School of Radiography lecture hall. Organized by the Education, Training & Research Unit and the School of radiography. 50 radiographers participated in the workshop and were given certificate of participation by the ministry of health.
