Mrs. Suraji Liyanaarchchi, tutor, was appointed as the Acting principal , in October 2020, following the retirement of former principal Mr. V.G.Wimalasena

Mrs. Suraji Liyanarachchi joined the school as a tutor with effect from 29th November 2017.

Mrs. C. Sathya Sri Joined the school as a permanent tutor in March 2018.

First repeat of final examination of 2015 batch was held from 27th November to 10th December 2017. Await results soon.
2017 Batch
A new batch of students were recruited on 31st July 2017. There are 34 trainees from MOH, 5 from SJGH, 2 from Police, 2 from Army , 4 from Air Force and 01 from WKMH. The training started on 14th August 2017. Two students are selected for radiotherapy section on their choice. Final count is Diagnostic Radiography 44 , Radiotherapy 02
Result of the Final examination of 2015 batch
The final examination of the 2015 batch was held at the school in June / July 2017. 74 students were eligible to sit the examination. Result released on 27th of September. Click here to down load the following file.result_2015_batch.pdf
The school started the new diploma programme on 15th June 2015. Sixty nine (70) MOH students reported. 06 students from Sri Lanka Army reported on 3rd June 2015.

Result of the First Repeat of first year examination of the 2014 Batch, held from 18th to 20th May 2015 was released  today 6th July 2015. Out of 18 candidates 16 passed and 02 are referred in Anatomy & Physiology.

Applications are called for recruitment of Tutors for the school of Radiography by the ministry of Health.
The principal invite the eligible radiographers to apply. Closing date ; 20.02.2015

 2015 - Recruitment of Graduates to MOH
Only 10 graduates accepted the internship appointments in the MOH out of the 20 who appeared for the Interviews .


2013 - Recruitment of Graduates to MOH

The ministry of health had published a gazette notification calling for applications to recruit BSc. graduates from all PSM professions. 

Interview was held on 29th Sept.2013 at the ministry of Health.

26 graduates reported for a orientation programme at the Sri lanka school of radiography.
20 diagnostic & 5 therapy graduate radiographers  completed the orientation programe at the school of Radiography.
They have been appointed as Radiographers

About Us

Sri Lanka School of Radiography is the one and only Government institution in Sri Lanka that produce qualified professional Radiographers / Radiological Technologists (Radiography Diploma holders) both in Diagnostic and Therapeutic streams, who are eligible to registration in Sri Lanka Medical Council & to practice.It is one of the training schools under the Ministry of Health that produce professionals in the Health Professions Supplementary to Medicine.
The trainees are recruited annually calling for applications by the Ministry of Health. The school caters for the trainees from the three armed forces, the Sri Lanka Police and Sri lanka transport board and other private institutions (on the approval of Ministry of Health) too.

To produce highly motivated, qualified,skilled and knowledgable professional Radiographers / Radiological Technologists  to serve the sick and needy people in any part of the world. 
Mission

To use innovative teaching methodology by using available limited resources economically and efficiently to provide the students with knowledge, skills and to develop positive attitudes and there by to improve the health professional manpower of the country.

SRTSL News
The website of the Society of Radiological Technologist is http://srtsl.com  The 40th Annual general meeting and the annual educational programme will be held on 28th June 2015 at the Postal department head quarters auditorium.
The 48th AGM and World Radiography Day celebration was held in Hotel Manderina , Colpetty  on 6th Nov. 2022.
